Accomplished Singer-Songwriter Taylor Swift is expected to release her new album titled “Midnights” on October 21, 2022. Her fans have expressed their excitement and students of Redwood have shared their expectations for the coming album.

A student who shared her love and admiration for Taylor Swift was Nadia Briggs ‘25. She says “I listen to her songs when I am happy, sad, mad or anything. It truly just brightens my mood.”

Briggs started listening to Taylor Swift when she was a child and has enjoyed her music ever since.

Briggs says she expects “nothing but greatness” from this album as she finds Swift’s music to be nostalgic.

Syrina Ceballos ‘24 is an avid Taylor Swift fan and listener who also shared her thoughts on the upcoming album.

Ceballos enjoys the deeper meaning of Swift’s songs and says “I like her music because she always has certain messages in there.” She says, “her album is called Midnights and in a lot of her songs she says midnights.”

Ceballos has her own theories for how this album will turn out and is eager to finally listen.

Currently Ceballos’ favorite Taylor Swift song is “False God” however this might soon change as the album release nears.

Jordyn Soto ‘24 is yet another recurring Taylor Swift fan who has shared her thoughts on the singer. Soto says, “I like her music because most of it is relatable.”

Soto says that her old albums are good, but now that Taylor Swift is older, she feels this album will be great.

Indira Renkema ‘25 is an enthusiastic Taylor Swift listener who is more than excited for the new album.

She says, “she has songs for everything so during quarantine I dove in and have been a Swiftie ever since.” Renekema expressed her eagerness for this album and is excited for some new Taylor Swift songs to listen to.

Renkema says, “Taylor Swift changes, that’s her thing but I think this one will be really similar to Folklore and Evermore.”

“I think we should just applaud her… she’s 32 and still writing music, still winning awards,” says Renkema.
