Maddie Adams and her friends having a blast

Adams has really enjoyed tennis, and she has learned a lot from her experience from playing on the team.

Adams says, ” If I had the opportunity to play in college, I think it would be amazing and I will definitely want to keep playing throughout my whole life.”

None of Adams family members have played tennis, but they have been very supportive throughout her whole life.

Redwood Varsity Tennis has been very successful and continue to show that their hard work is paying off.

They have won the league for the past 16 years and their record is currently 191-0. Not only that, but they have been Valley Champs 2017 and 2018.

This year Redwood Tennis is starting fresh with a new Varsity coach. Many tennis players were very excited to meet the new Varsity coach and could not wait for the new season to start.

Adams says she likes because,” Coach Matt works her and the team hard, and cares about helping players grow and become better players.”

What keeps Adams motivated to keep playing tennis is the legacy of Redwood tennis, and how much she has gained from being on the team and playing on the team.

Adams also says, “ I am grateful to be on the Redwood Varsity Team and I love all the friendships I have made over the past three years.”

Kenzie Branch 22’, Reece Ainley 22’, Mika Temmerman 22’, and Katie Hornburg’ all had something to say about Adams and how she makes a difference on the team

Branch says, “Maddie strives to do her best and puts her best effort in everyday.” Branch feels like Maddie is a leader on the team because of all her hard work and how she motivates everyone to do their best no matter their position.

This is Branch first time playing tennis this year and she says, “Maddie Adams makes sure everyone feels welcome.” This is one thing that Branch likes a lot about Adams on the court  and off.

Ainley loves how Adams works hard in their difficult practices and says, “ If Adams can push on and endure exercises, I could to”

Ainley points out that Maddie always inspires her to do her best in all her matches. She also says Adams bring enthusiasm and a good work ethic to the team.

Temmerman says that, “Maddie is a great person and a great role model on tennis.” Like Branch and Ainley, Temmermann agrees that Adams always help the girls on the team and inspires them to do their best.

Temmerman informs that Adams is sweet to talk to and she helps unite the team. Like Branch, Temmerman says that Adams makes an effort to make sure everyone feels welcomed and embrace in Redwood Tennis.

Hornburg says, “ Adams motivates us to keep positive even when we are losing a game.” Hornburg also says that Adams brings the team positivity and she shows her kindness to everyone on the team.”

Branch, Temmerman, Ainley, and Hornburg all feel that the team has gotten closer because they feel like all their relationships with everyone on the team has gotten closer. They also say the team is very fun and a good environment to be in.

Branch, Temmerman, Ainley, and Hornburg all say they like their new coach, Matt Gong. They all agree that Matt Gong pushes the team to do their best, and work hard to achieve their goals for this year.
