Just recently, The Spring Fling Dance occurred on Saturday, March 2nd from 8:00 PM – 11:00 PM in the RHS gym. The dance is one of the two that is scheduled for this semester; the other being Prom.
On average, it took students who attended about 2 hours to a week to get ready for the dance, which included a lot of shopping and makeup/hair time. On a scale from 1-10 (1 being the best, 10 being the worst), the highest rating for this dance was about a 1 and the lowest rating for this dance was about a 3. Savanna Silva ‘19 said that she would “give the dance a solid 2 because it’s so casual, you can go with anyone and don’t have to spend a lot of money.”
Jace Jasso ‘19 said, “I like how ASB dedicated their time to this dance, this year.” So many people love this dance for the agreed idea, it is less formal. This dance is perfect for going with friends or a date too. Also, creativity is everywhere at Spring Fling. Alyssa Huerta ‘22 said, “I enjoyed it a lot. I like how the theme, was decades and thought it was really cool!”
However, later dances could be improved for, many people thought that the music could have been so much better. Music at the dance was very repetitive but, it did have a good style. Some people, like Huerta ‘22, also thought that the dance could have been improved, space wise since, it felt pretty crowded in that gym.
Including both the positives and negatives of the dance, the good reviews seemed to outweigh the positive. Therefore, overall, the dance was a big hit!
