Savannah Travis, ’20, has been in ASB since her sophomore year. Going into her second year, she was elected to be the ’18-’19 Rally Commissioner. So far there has been two rally’s at Redwood High School, Icebreaker and the most recent, Homecoming.

Travis had the idea to base the rally theme on the hit show, The Bachelor. This included a fun parody of the infamous “Rose Ceremony”. The homecoming nominees were presented a rose by Mr. Ranger himself. The crowd loved this idea. Travis thought the whole concept of the Bachelor went really well with selecting the top 5. Travis said, “My main goal was to make sure all the girls felt special and included. I want to make sure they have a memorable week and senior year.”

Travis’s first successful rally of the year was the Icebreaker Rally. Travis said that her main goal for that rally was for every student to have a blast and to feel Redwood High School’s strong school spirit, whether you were an incoming freshman or graduating senior. This rally included several fun and challenging competitions. The highlight of the rally was the sing along portion where she hand picked popular songs that related to the Icebreaker’s theme. Many students said that was their favorite part of the rally.

Travis is known for being a creative hardworking RHS Rally Commissioner. In terms of the Cowhide rally, that is a surprise for the student body to find out. Travis said, “It will be hyped! [I intend to] make the rally a great environment, so everyone can get involved with the football team.” It will be a perfect opportunity to show their Ranger Pride. She is already hard at work to form the perfect Cowhide rally.

Rally’s are a perfect representation of why we are the most spirited school. We all can not wait to see what Travis has in store for all of us next!
