Makayla Bullock, ‘24, is a four-year captain of Redwood’s dance force. Her solo for the dance show is “very iconic.”

She says “It’s just something people definitely won’t forget, I’ll say that.”

Her solo is danced to the song ‘Alien Superstar’ by Beyonce. Bullock says that she just envisions Beyonce being in the audience watching her performance. “I just basically like turn into her on stage.”

The end of the song just connects with Bullock on a personal level. “It ends with ‘I’m so unique’ and I feel like that would describe me as a person.”

The style of her solo dance, as Bullock would describe it, is a jazz-funkish style of dance.

Three words that Bullock would use to describe her dance are:

Unforgettable, Stylized, Unique
