Kadence Hutchings, a freshman here at Redwood High school won Reserve Champion at the Tulare County Fair. I decided to ask her some questions about how she prepared for the event.

Kadence has been participating in 4H for four years and has been preparing her lambs for the fair for the last “couple months”, “sheering, grooming, getting them ready to go in the ring and washing them” getting them in perfect condition to be judged.

She was not expecting to be crowned Reserve Champion but says it feels “really good” because it’s the first thing she’s won at the fair! She plans on continuing to participate in the fair all throughout high school, hoping she wins another prize next year!
