The spirit from the usual football season in the fall, has been kept alive and carried over into the spring for Powderpuff. Many students attended to cheer on Redwood’s two teams.

Kylenna Moumdjin ‘25, attended the game to cheer for the seniors because it was their last chance to play. “There was a lot of school spirit and it was nice to get together with my friends at the bowl again.” She says.

Students came out to support their friends and family. Solomon Burciaga ‘24 says, “This is my first time since I’m a sophomore, so the game was fun to watch, especially Sierra Nelson’s plays.”

“I plan on playing next year. We barely lost this year and need to redeem ourselves,” she adds.

The teams had to undergo challenges and find ways to improve. Teamwork and being able to work together is crucial if wanting to win. Alia backlund ‘22 says, “We worked together by making sure everyone got a chance to play and seeing who was best fit in the different situations.

Strategies were one of the big  things that impacted the results of the game. Knowing different drills allowed the senior team to pull ahead.
