On Friday, October 28, 2022, Redwood High School and Mount Whitney High School played the annual Cowhide football game. Redwood won the game 28-0. This is the first Cowhide Redwood’s new Principal, Dr. Amanda Richard, attended.
Dr. Richard says, “[The game] was really awesome. I definitely didn’t expect a shutout, but I will accept it. I’m so excited about [winning].”
Dr. Richard noticed that the stands were much fuller and the energy was higher compared to other games.
She says, “I feel like [the energy] just really ramped up everyone’s excitement for the game.”
For the first time in a few years, Redwood and Mount Whitney were able to carry on the Principal Dunk Tank tradition.
Taylor’s Hot Dogs hosts the event. Students from both schools “dunk” the other principal.
Dr. Richard says, “Shutting out Mount Whitney made [getting dunked] 100% worth it.”
