VISALIA, CA – Club Day at Redwood High School brought a vibrant atmosphere as students filled the Quad, eager to explore the diverse array of clubs available. This event not only marked an opportunity for students to sign up for various extracurricular activities but also served as a platform for them to discover their passions and connect with their peers.

For many, Club Day was a significant milestone in their high school journey. Angelo Torres-Arzate, ’25, reflected on the engaging nature of the event. “Club Day was really interactive,” he said.

Redwood is known for its wide ranging activities that help engage and bring students together, giving students the opportunity to find themselves and their place at school.

“I also liked being able to see Redwood’s vast and rich culture through signing up in a variety of clubs, ranging from FBLA to the RHS Spanish Club,” Torres-Arzare said. His enthusiasm was high as he highlighted the importance of involvement in shaping the high school experience.

The event featured numerous booths representing cultural clubs, science clubs, and various interactive organizations. This wide range of options enabled students to find their niche and foster a sense of belonging within the school community. Giselle Soto, ’28, expressed her excitement about the possibilities that Club Day presented.

“For me, Club Day was fun because there were food trucks, and the many different clubs to sign up for were interesting. My favorite part was learning about the clubs and signing up for them,” Soto said.

Soto shared that she is currently participating in multiple clubs, including the Spanish Club, Interact, LatinX, and AVID.

“Currently, I am interested in going on an educational trip in California through FBLA and taking a deeper dive into the world of business economics,” Torres-Arzare added, illustrating how Club Day can inspire students to pursue educational and professional opportunities in life.

As students continue to engage with their clubs, they contribute to a rich community involvement at Redwood High School, making Club Day a celebration of culture, diversity, and personal growth.
