This Thursday, the Freshman football team will be playing against Tulare Western.
Slot receiver Kendrix Almaguer ‘30 is hoping for a” victory, but I also hope to have good yardage and maybe a touchdown or two,” said Almaguer.
Going in 5-0, Almaguer believes that they are just the better team, but they can not underestimate the Mustangs.
Almaguer is preparing for this game by conditioning and being in the weight room, trying to build strength.
An area Almaguer hopes to improve on in his gameplay is getting more yards after a carry.
Wide receiver Luis Monroy ‘30 hopes that, “I could be a good teammate, help with the successes on the team because we are 5-0 right now trying to continue this win streak tomorrow,” said Monroy.
To be 5-0 as a team feels, “Amazing because I feel like most times we get hate at the beginning of the season, but once we get developed they see what we are truly about and they see that we’re a great team.”
Monroy is preparing for the game by learning from his mistakes from the previous game and improving for himself and the team.
Monroy hopes to improve his blocking skills, his route running skills, and his tackling skills.
Running back Aaron Montes ‘30 hopes to get a win, a lot of yards, and touchdowns against Tulare Western.
Montes has been preparing for this game by eating right and preparing himself mentally.
Montes hopes to improve his vision when going through gaps as a running back.
The Rangers game against the Mustangs will kick off at 5 pm.
