Redwood Football faces El Diamante 9/30/22 at home in the Mineral King Bowl.
Redwood High School switched leagues going into the 2022 season. We started in WYL and now for the ´22 – ´23 season we´re EYL. Kai Preisendorf ´24 says he’s most excited about ¨it’s the first league game in a new conference¨
Rangers Football is working hard on and off the field, some of them even have a ritual or habit they like to do before a game. Moses Burk ´24 says, ¨I need my hair braided, listen to music and get in a pump¨
The Rangers are looking forward to keeping their winning streak against El Diamante alive. The Ranger football team has beat El Diamante since the ´18-´19 school year. The Rangers bounced back last year in the ´21-22 season with a win against El Diamante after not having a season the year before.
Our Rangers have a great student section behind them. Here’s what Olivia Saenz ´23 has to say about the game ¨I’m most excited to watch our boys beat El D, and to watch everyone in the stands get hype for when we beat El D because of last year.¨
The Ranger Football coaching staff has been practicing and training the boys all season, pushing them to fight and win! Defensive coaches Joey Chica and Michael Wright. Wright says ¨We spent the last week working with JV, coaches have broken down the film but we won’t give it to them until next week to make it a normal game week.¨ Chica adds ¨Were just trying to get healthy, we haven’t really been preparing for El D, a lot of our boys are banged up, were trying to get them healthy for league.¨
