The game started out as a defensive smash-mouth battle, with Cameron Gallardo on the mound for your Rangers. He shut out Clovis North’s Broncos for the first three innings, and started off the 4th red hot, getting the first two batters out. But then, tragedy struck. Gallardo walked the next two batters, and then, on a questionable hit by pitch call, the bases were loaded, then, the Broncos hit a momentous double off the wall in left center, which gave the Broncos a 3-0 lead. Then, after an error off of third baseman Alvarado and a ground out, and finally a single, the Broncos extended their lead 4-0 in the 5th inning. However, the Rangers started scoring in the sixth, tacking on a run after Aguirre singled into left to score Bronson Chamberlain. Then, with Hunter Bryan on third, Ashford singled into left, which brought home Hunter Bryan to make it 4-2. Although that was it for the scoring efforts, and they did lose, it was a win in their eyes, because they scored two runs against the top leftie in the valley. Final score: Broncos 4, Rangers, 2.
