Redwood Rangers were asked their favorite things about the Thanksgiving holiday.
Hannah Lebow ‘25 stated that her favorite Thanksgiving food is “definitely ham.” Lebow also shared that her family celebrates Thanksgiving a week early which allows them to get together with some closer friends and family.
Lebow stated that to her, Thanksgiving means coming together as a family and being thankful about life.
Ian Ceballos ‘23 said “My favorite Thanksgiving food is my mom’s homemade mac and cheese.”
Ceballos is one who greatly enjoys the Thanksgiving holiday and spends a lot of time playing board games with his family. Ceballos said, “After we eat some of us go outside and the other half of us play Lotería.”
Ceballos enjoys the competitive, yet loving, nature of the game and it is one of his holiday favorites.
Miranda Seitz ‘24 is yet another student who shared her love for Thanksgiving. When asked her favorite Thanksgiving food Seitz said, “Green beans, I love green beans and they taste so good.”
Seitz loves splitting the wishbone with her sister after dinner, and enjoys it most when she gets the bigger half. Seitz said she appreciates the holiday because, “…it allows you to be surrounded by family and loved ones, and being grateful that you have them all.”
Mrs. Forsythe, a teacher on campus, particularly loves Thanksgiving. She said, “ We’re a board game family and we play board games for hours.”
“Thanksgiving is all about family and spending time with family and getting to be together without worrying about being somewhere else because we are where we are supposed to be,” said Forsythe.
