Redwood students share their opinion on a big debate, TV shows or movies?

The students at Redwood have spoken! Movies? TV Shows? That is the question of the decade. Most of Redwood students love to watch 2 hour movies that finish the plot quickly while the other half love to sit and prolong their favorite TV plots.

Tania Solorzano, ‘26, says, “I prefer TV shows because I like how it lasts longer and you could enjoy it more.”
But Audrey Conley, ‘26, argues and says, “I like movies because of the fact that you can take an entire timeline into two hours worth of watching something.”
Noelle Umphfres, ‘27, also agrees with Conley. Umphfres says, “I like Movies better because they can put a lot in to it and it gets resolved by the end,”
Sofia Guzman, ‘26, says, “I prefer TV Shows because they have a lot more time to fledge out a full story.”
Guzman then adds, “While in movies they kind of rush them.”

Umphres argues back and says, “Movies just keep you watching until the very end.”
Guzman adds again, “In TV shows you can enjoy them, and they always have more seasons, so you can always wait for more.”
Emma Buchanan, ‘26, also argues TV Shows and says, “I like having something to watch over and over.”
Buchanan then adds, “My favorite TV show at the moment is Outer Banks because it’s about this group of friends during the summer, and I love summer, so I think it’s a perfect show to watch.”
Cole Acevedo, ‘26, prefers TV shows and says, “I like something that I can watch for a long period of time.”
Acevedo then adds, “My favorite TV show is The Walking Dead because, this might sound weird, but I love gore and horror. The Walking Dead has all of that.”
Gianna Saenz, ‘25, prefers movies and says, “I personally like comic book movies because they are more in depth. TV shows don’t really appeal to me. Movies just tell the story way better.”
Then Saenz was asked what her favorite movie is, “Batman Under the Red Hood, I really like the Red Hood. I literally have a tattoo of his logo on my forearm and it just represents on how you can do so much and lose it all.”
