President Mia Almares, ‘26, talks about why she wanted to make this club. She says, “Well, the club was passed down to me. But I was interested in running it because I love fashion, and I love bringing people together through fashion.”

On what the process was to get the club passed down to her, Almares says, “I just showed up a lot, and I proved that I was worthy, and she passed on to me because she knew that I would really put a lot of effort into the meetings.”

Almares, Brisa Castaneda, ‘27, and Juliyan Hollie, ‘27, were asked what they want to accomplish within the club.

Almares says, “I want to meet new people and make new friends in the club, and just learn more about themselves and just experiment, try new things.”

Members of the club talked about why they joined: to do more fun projects, make new friends, and overall have a fun time.

Hollie says, “I just want to make more friends.”

“To do more fun stuff,” Castaneda says.

With different fashion trends going in and out, they were asked what fashion meant to them. Hollie says, “Fashion helps me express myself, how I care for myself, and how I can show myself, you know what I mean?”

Almares was asked what fashion trends she has seen since she’s been in the club.
“A lot of old 2000 stuff, popping up and down, you know?” Almares says.

“I don’t know how to explain it, but fashion is a fun way to express myself,” Castaneda says.
