Homecoming week arises the opinions of ASB and students on this year’s homecoming dress-up correspondence to Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
This year’s homecoming dress-up days revolve around the theme: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Dress-up day themes include class colors (Monday), twins/squad (Tuesday), western (Wednesday), future career day (Thursday), and Ranger spirit (Friday).
The Activities Coordinater and ASB Advisor Mrs. Hailey Aston says “[she’s] excited for homecoming. [She] hopes everybody dresses up and gets involved and has a good time.”
ASB President Savannah Torres, ’23 says that this year’s theme “is probably the best one we’ve had since [she’s] been here.” “[She’s] super excited because [Rangers] can get so creative,” Torres adds.
To get students involved for dress-up days, Torres says “[she] just talk[s] to students [and] build[s] relationships.”
Sophomore class President Ryan Rodriguez, ’25 says that he is “excited for these dress-up days that are coming up. [He] thinks it’s overall a really great theme and the dress-up days are going to be really fun for all the classrooms to particpate in.”
For this year’s themes, Riley Fisher, ’26 views her freshmen experience in a positive light, “As a freshman, [she’s] really excited for the ‘world of pure imagination’.”
When asked if she has done planning beforehand, Fisher says she will meet with friends to discuss the upcoming themes.
