Josie Moto’s is planning to bring the students of Redwood High School closer to God this upcoming school year by launching her brand new club “Rangers For Christ”.
According to a study published in the Journal of Youth and Adolescence, students involved in religious youth groups report higher levels of purpose, lower levels of substance abuse, and stronger peer relationships.
Justin Marquez, ‘26, and member of “Rangers For Christ” said something that made him want to join the club is bringing others closer to God and displaying him on campus.
Marquez said, “Some things I look forward to is seeing the club grow and more people coming in.”
Lily Zapata, ‘26 and vice president of “Rangers for Christ” said some things she looks forward to as being vice president is helping people dive deeper into their faith and teaching people how to be better sons and daughters of Christ.
Zapata said, “Having an audience and people to share what I study in my Bible will give me motivation.”
Isabella Ibarra, ‘26 and treasurer of “Rangers For Christ” said she is excited for this opportunity to help others grow their faith and spread the gospel around campus.
“My personal goal is to grow and be more in tune with my faith.”
Josie Motos, ‘28 and president of “Rangers For Christ” was inspired to start Rangers For Christ solely because she feels that we need to reflect Jesus’s love around campus and teach others on how to spread his love as well.
Motos said, “There is no sin greater than His love, and there’s nothing that you can do that he won’t forgive you for, and he will always love you no matter what.”
