Redwood High School’s pool, located in central California, has become a big block of ice.

The weather suddenly dropped to -3439485 degrees last night. The pool is now completely frozen.

According to coach Joey Chlorine, the swim team will turn into a hockey team.

Chlorine has never been on a hockey team. However, he expects the team to be “better than the NHL [National Hockey League].”

Chlorine says, “My swimmers will make Bobby Orr cry out of jealousy!” Bobby Orr is a professional hockey player.

Amir Smith, class of 2024, is on the swim team. He says, “I’m actually scared, none of us know now to play hockey. We swim, not run on ice.”

The team has created signs and is protesting the change. They can be seen sitting on the frozen pool in their swimsuits.

Laney Jackson, class of 2022, is the team’s Captain. She says, “I don’t care if we freeze to death, we are not going to become a hockey team. If the school is that desperate, they can make their own team! Leave us out of it or there will be consequences.”

When approached by Chlorine, Principal Cat Chin immediately approved the change. He was on a little league hockey team in elementary school.

Chin says, “Even though creating the team will cost thousands of dollars, I am very excited to see a Redwood hockey team!”

Vice Principal Brooke Book is against the change. She says, “I just saw the bill of the hockey equipment and it makes me want to cry.”
