The LJ Williams Theatre, freshly renovated and now ready for use, has sparked excitement among orchestra students preparing for their upcoming holiday concert on December 12.
Sam Ayala, ’26, plays the violin. She shares her enthusiasm about the concert and says, “I feel pretty good about the performance.”
Ayala adds that Orchestra has been working hard for this concert and says “We were really pushed to try our best.”
Emily Brennan, ‘25, plays the cello. Brennan says, “I am excited that LJ is ready for us to play in there,” The LJ Williams Theater being ready for use has made Redwood students even more enthusiastic about their performances.
Brennan further mentions the preparation of the concert and says, “We started practicing the music for this event immediately after our last performance in October.”
Sarah Butt, ‘27, is a violinist who shares her excitement for the holiday performance.
Butt says, “I am really excited,” and mentions her anticipation for the pieces the chamber will be playing, specifically highlighting Carol of the Bells and God Rest You Merry Gentlemen.
Julliane Arakaki, ’27, plays the violin. Arakaki is also looking forward to the songs in performance and says, “we have some fun pieces.”
Arakaki is particularly looking forward to “this violin duel that me and another person in the concert are going to do.”
With the LJ Williams Theatre prepared to host their performances, these orchestra students are thrilled to deliver a captivating holiday concert, showcasing their dedication and musical skills.
