Taylor Swift released her new album titled “Midnights” on October 20, 2022. People all over the world have been stoked for the release, and Redwood’s Rangers were asked their opinions on its outcome. 

Syrina Ceballos ‘24 was especially excited for this album and says “I really liked it and overall I think it was good.”

Ceballos shared her admiration for the album and said, “I liked that she did two-parts. One regular and then she dropped some at 3 am.”

Another student who shared her love for “Midnights” was Indira Renkema ‘25. She said, “It’s so pretty and different from anything she has ever done.” 

When asked if it was worth the wait, Renkema said, “Oh yes. It was better than anything I expected.” Renkema gives her props to Taylor and is excited to continue listening to this album.

Jordyn Soto ‘24 spoke about her listening experience and said, “I was honestly kind of in shock because it was really good.I knew that it was gonna be good, but listening to it sort of validated that.”

As for her favorite song in the album, Soto said “ I listened to all of the songs and kept finding myself going back to Maroon.” 

Nadia Briggs ‘25 is yet another Swiftie who shared her opinion. She said “I thought it was great because she really put her heart and soul into the album…She never fails to succeed.”

Briggs felt that Taylor exceeded the expectations and is excited for more albums to come.
