With the new school year beginning, new and old fashion trends are being seen among Redwood students. Here are students’ input on what clothing is trending now.
Different types of clothing from head to toe have taken students by storm. A couple of pieces seen widely worn by students are crop tops and flare jeans.
Jessica Shupe ’23 says, “I’m honestly a really big fan of flared jeans. I like bell bottoms and crop tops are cute”.
Juliet Lazcano ‘26 says, “Crop tops are cute but it’s hard to wear them at school because teachers don’t let us wear them.”
Lazcano adds, “Flared jeans are super cute and people should wear them more.”
Other popular trends seen a lot around campus are oversized shirts with tiny shorts. Kaitlyn White ’23 says, “ I think it depends on how you style it. I love the oversized shirt with biker shorts, but it all depends on your accessories.”
Seeing the fashion trends as of right now, Redwood students share what they would like to see in future fashion trends.
Sophia Contreras ’26 says, “ I would like to see more Trends from the 2000s because I like the vibrant colors and I love how people style their clothes.”
With the upcoming fall season approaching fast, students are looking forward to trends seen specifically for colder weather.
White says, “ I enjoy wearing mock necks so I just love layering in general and I’m super excited for fall.”
