On March 6th 2019, it was an offensive battle between your Redwood Rangers, and the Edison Tigers which resulted in another Redwood win, 9-5. On the mound for Redwood, it was Sam Bower.

The scoring effort didn’t kick off until Ethan Garcia singled into right in the top of the second, bringing home Ryan Rios and Rico Aguirre. Ty Ashford would advance to third. 2-0 Redwood. Bronson Chamberlin then, singled into left, which brought home two more runs to the effort. Garcia scores, Alvarado scores. Caden Sorenson would advance into second, 4-0 Redwood.

In the bottom of the second, #23 singled on a hard ground ball into right. #24 scores, #9 scores, 4-2 Redwood. #22 would advance to third.

In the top of the third, Ryan Rios did the unthinkable: he hit a solo shot to left with just one swing of the bat. 5-2 REDWOOD!!! After that, Garcia grounded into a fielder’s choice to short. Ashford got himself in “no man’s land”. He did get out. However, the approximate 5 second rundown let Aguirre come home to put Edison away, 6-2 Redwood.

Edison would score three times, starting off with a single into left, off of the bat of #24. #34 would score. (By the way, apparently #34’s name was David Ortiz. I think I might’ve heard wrong, but I just found it coincidental/funny) #20 advances to second. 6-3 Redwood. Then, #9 doubled into left. #20 scores, #24 scores. #12 advances into third, 6-5 Redwood. That would do it for Edison, but, obviously, your Rangers decided to tack on more runs to the lead.

It started with Ethan Garcia singling into left, in the top of the fouth. Rios scores, Ashford scores. 8-5 Redwood.

Then, apparently, in the top of the fifth, Hunter Bryan didn’t believe that was enough, as he hit a no-doubter into left!!! 9-5 Rangers!!!

Time of the game: 2 hours, 58 minutes, 52 seconds. Final score: Redwood 9, Edison, 5
