Sehrish Hirani, ‘27, will be serving as the President of FBLA. Hirani said, “Overall, right now, we’re just kind of focusing on the way that we’re able to involve the members the most. Obviously, our first big event for FBLA is Club Day, and our first meeting. So right now we’re kind of focusing on getting those members in with communication, with hype, through socials and conferences, and just showing how fun FBLA can be for the members and also how beneficial it can be.”
“My freshman year, I was a leadership partner for FBLA, and then sophomore year, I was Redwood FBLA’s VP (Vice President) of community service. And then also, my freshman and sophomore year, I was the California Central Section Secretary, and right now I’m the treasurer for Central Section,” said Hirani.
Hirani said, “It feels pretty cool because I didn’t think that I would get a position like this until my senior year. So when I ran, I didn’t really think that I would be able to achieve this position, but I’m happy that my advisor and former president saw potential in me, and I’m just happy to work with the incredible team and be able to lead this team.”
Both Patrick Bixler, ‘27, and Abby Orosco, ‘26, will be the VPs of Activities.

Bixler said, “FBLA has kind of been like a second family on campus to me, so I’ve gotten really close with a lot of my fellow officers. It’s sad to see the seniors this year graduating, but I’m really excited for what we have planned this year.”
“So, I do have a legacy of people that I know and I have been friends with in FBLA. Some of them have graduated long ago now, but they had convinced me to join and be a leadership partner in my freshman year, where I just did basically whatever anybody asked of me on the officer team,” said Bixler.
“And then I was the VP of competitions this last school year, where I worked on AI test prep materials and other things of the sort. And now I will be serving as the Vice President of Activities for both the officer team and the chapter,” said Bixler.
The VPs of community service will be Bryce Melgar, ‘27, Janna Asunto, ‘27, and Junwoo Kim, ‘26.

Melgar said, “I think my plans are to make this year the best year that we have and to just improve our performance at state and at section.”
“I think it feels gratifying. Like, honestly, just being able to work with such talented people, I think it’s a new experience for me, and I think I’ll benefit from it,” said Melgar.
Melgar said, “I think I just had to, really work hard on my events, for this year’s events. For this year’s competition. And I think by proving myself in that way, I was able to get my position as an officer.”
Both Alexis Seals, ‘27, and Von Borowicz, ‘26, will be the VPs of Membership and Recruitment.

Seals said, “My plans as the vice president of membership recruitment are definitely to host more socials this year. That’s something we lacked a lot this year. And I also intend to really go above and beyond and our membership and who joins. Last year, we got 423 signups. I’m hoping to make that number 500. That’s my goal for next year. And those are just some of the plans I have.”
“My freshman year, I was a leadership partner on the officer team. And this year, I was also vice president of membership recruitment. I decided to take on this role again because it’s something that I definitely felt I was good at, and I did a lot of good recruiting for the team, and also just in general. So I wanted to take on that role again,” said Seals.
Seals said, “Oh, it feels great. I love being on the FBLA officer team. It’s definitely so exciting. Not only is our officer team so close, everybody on there is friends, and it’s also such a good group of kids. We know what we’re doing, and it just makes our program so amazing.”

Both Thai Dinh, ‘26, and Yong Lee, ‘26, will be the VPs of Competitions.
Dinh said, “So, as Redwood FBLA’s vice president of competitions, I’m really excited for FBLA to continue our tradition of excellence at the Central and state levels. Additionally, that would include creating new resources for members to study with, as well as giving them feedback on their presentations, which we do quite often, and we are quite successful at the state level with those speaking events,” said Dinh.
“And as someone who’s in Mock Trial, having that speaking ability in the first place really gives me that edge to help people who do those events in the first place,” said Dinh.
“It feels great. Being able to work with a group as diverse as the Redwood FBLA team, working with Sehrish as well as my other vice president of competitions, Yong Lee. It’s going to be super exciting,” said Dinh.

Luke Carlos, ‘27, will be the Secretary and Treasurer of FBLA.
Carlos said, “Personally, what I want to do for our FBLA chapter is to help, expand our chapter, and to help us do better in competitions and just help create a better social environment for members.”
“I think it’s pretty cool that I have a higher role, especially this upcoming year, and I feel like I can help the chapter more and help take my better Ideas,” said Carlos.
When he was asked how he got to the position that he has now Carlos said, “I think, personally, what I had to do was get better, and be more vocal in my ideas and try to be more open to other people, and especially to open up and talk to more people.”
Alyssa Hutchison, ‘28, will be the Public Relations Officer of FBLA.
“I wouldn’t say it’s my first time because I was a leadership partner, but it’s definitely a step up and I’ll be doing a lot more for the club,” said Hutchison.
When Hutchison was asked how it feels to get to be the Public Relations officer, she said, “I’m super excited and I just can’t wait to be more involved.”

Agamveer Multani, ‘27, will be the Historian and Parilamentarian of FBLA.
Multani said, “Well, I’m the Historian Parilamentarian, so I have to take photos and stuff. So I’m just going to capture all the memories of the next year.”
“It’s kind of cool to know that people voted for me. People actually want me to be an officer,” said Multani when asked how he feels to get to have a position like this in FBLA.
Multani was asked what he had to do to become the Historian and Parilamentarian, and he said, “First, I had to campaign, and have people vote for me, and then I also placed in the state leadership conference as well.”

Reid Bigelow, ‘28, will be the Leadership Partner of FBLA.
“We had to get interviewed. Fill out an application, and kind of just talked to the team, and then they ultimately made the decision about if you should be on the team or not.” Bigelow said when he was asked what he had to accomplish to get to the position he has now.
When Bigelow was asked how it feels to have this position as a leadership partner, he said, “I’m excited because I want to get involved as much as possible with FBLA, because it is one of my extracurriculars.”
