This years Harvest is being held at Golden West Saturday, September 24th. Redwood Rangers give their input on the first Harvest back since COVID.
Tickets went on sale the 19th and are selling through the 23rd in the Finance Center. They are available before school, during lunch, and after school. Tickets are $20 with an ASB sticker, $25 without, and $30 at the door.
All the four high schools in Visalia pitched in to making the dance come together. Redwood’s ASB members share their thoughts and excitement about the upcoming dance.
Ms. Aston the ASB activities director says, “For every dance we switch host responsibilities, [Golden West] happen to have this one, but we all have duties and responsibilities for the dance.”
Redwood is working on the table centerpieces, photo backdrop and selfie station for the dance this year.
Aston says, “I’m actually really excited, I love Harvest because it’s a dance that’s open to all four grade levels, and it’s a little more casual than Winter Formal or Prom.”
The dance is one opportunity to be able to meet and celebrate the night with students of other schools. Audrey Orosco ’23 says, “It gives kids the chance to get out there, have some fun, and get to meet kids from other schools.”
Savannah Torres ‘23 says, “I’m really excited for the most part, my friends are excited because we really only had two Harvests, people are really taking advantage of Harvest this year.”
Rangers are excited that Harvest is coming back this fall. Some students went to Harvest in the previous years however, COVID prevented many from the high school experience.
Jessica Shupe ‘23 says, ” I think that everyone is excited for a normal year, normal celebrations, normal dances, it would be nice!”
