Last Tuesday the 15th girls varsity soccer competed against El Diamante and dominated with a score of 3-0.
Coach Vieira said Evan House, ’20, had a great header goal that sealed the win for the team. Coach Vieira stated that their formation is a little more different since the beginning of the year. “It’s more focused on our attack, and some girls play different positions just out of need.” He says that each and every girl has improved since the beginning of the season.
“Honestly, that game was pretty much our side most of the game” says player Kelsey Konishi, ’21. The girls continued to show their strengths during this game and Konishi also stated that “Our biggest advantage is speed on the team.”
The girls have grown closer since the beginning of the season and have done some things differently that have made the team stronger as one. Chelsea Sandoval, ’22 noticed that one thing that has helped the team do better in games is the positions that the starters are beginning the game \ in. That has definitely played a major part in the improvements that the team has made.
