Throughout the course of the new year, Redwood welcomes a ton of new faces. Freshmen learn to navigate and where to find everything, here we hear from only a few of a bunch of freshmen voices. We hear what they think of this new opening, and where they will potentially be over the course of the next four years.

Emma Ellis, ‘28, gave her thoughts and answers when asked to rate her first day of school.

Ellis said, “7.3. I don’t like the bridge and how crowded it is.”

Jillyan Villasenor, ‘28, gave her perspective when asked the question, was the transition from middle school to high school hard?

Villasenor says, “I would say it was pretty easy because of the counselors and all of the people who were willing to help, and the orientation that we did that really helped me map out where I needed to go, so it was pretty seamless.”

Sheena Herbert, ‘28, talked about her first week of experience getting to different classes.

Herbert says, “My second period because I have to walk all the way to Vista, and the bridge has so much traffic.”

She says, “I would rate it an eight out of ten.”

Finally, Stephanie Reynaga, ‘28, gave us her thoughts on her first official week, and if she liked the diversity of electives and events.

Reynaga says, “Yes, there’s a lot of options to do and there’s a bunch of clubs, and I think there’s a lot of opportunities in high school.”
