The Harvest dance is a tradition for high school students, and for freshmen, it’s going to look a little different this year.
Since Redwood is not having one at school due to COVID restrictions, Rangers are making their own at home.
Flyn Olson, ‘25 says, “My opinion on Harvest is it’s super cool and I wish the school was having one, but because of COVID, we’re not and it sucks.”
Olson states that she is sad Redwood isn’t having one but she is going to hang out with her friends to make up for it.
Alexis Rico, ‘25 is going to her friend’s house and is going to hang out there for Harvest.
She says, “My thoughts on Harvest is that it’s a really fun time to go and hang out with friends.”
Samuel Feierbach, ‘25 thinks Harvest is a really good time to hang out with friends and spend time together.
“My plans for Harvest are to hang out with my friend and have a good time,” Feierbach says.
Sierra Sorensen, ‘25 is super excited about Harvest. She says, “I think it’s really fun for the older kids because they can drive and go a lot more places than freshmen.”
Sorensen’s plans for Harvest are, “to get a big group of friends together and go to a friend’s house and cater food and just hang out.”
Ryan Rodriguez, ‘25 states that his opinion on Harvest is a cool thing to do.
Rodriguez’s plans are to hang out with friends.
Hailey Kazarian, ‘25 wishes Redwood would have a dance but since they’re not, she is going to hang out with her friends.
“My plans for Harvest are to just go to my friends house and just hang there,” Kazarian says.
All of the freshman Rangers agreed on one thing which is that Harvest is fun and it is a great time to hang out with friends.
Even though Redwood is not hosting a Harvest dance this year, students are still thinking out of the box and having fun in spite.
