Redwood continues to excel in all of their sports, and track is no different. Trying out for such a great team can be intimidating, especially for the freshman. Here are some of the students thoughts on the season.

Cole Fontes, ’25, says, ” being a freshman on the track team can be a little stressful, you have to prove yourself to everyone.” He follows up by saying, “Track is really fun though because your not just competing against other people, your also competing against yourself to get the best P.R you can.”

Taylor Langford, ’25, explains that, “Being on the team is really nice, we’re all friends, we all get along, but we still get stuff done.” Even though redwood track is a skilled team, there is still some competition. Langford says, “Our competition will probably be the more popular Visalia schools, and of course the Clovis schools.”

Adam Judson, ’25, says, ” Being on track is pretty fun, there’s some good guys out there and we all get along.” Judson follows up by saying, “I’m most looking forward to hopefully getting a good P.R and competing in WYL.”

Madden Mcloud, ’25, agrees with Judson, “Track is really fun, just going out with my friends is what i look forward to.” Mcloud continues with saying, ” I’m most looking forward to improving my P.R and my mile.”

As intimidating trying a new team can be, these freshman are prepared to give it their all this track season!
