There are many new faces at Redwood High School, including foreign exchange students. Most feel this school and nation is friendly to them and each other.

Fleur Strik, ’20, says her favorite part of America is how friendly and welcoming everyone here is. “My favorite part of the people is how welcoming they are, because in Europe, everyone kind of keeps to themselves.”

Amna Shahzad, ’20, says, “My host family and new friends are there for me and my favorite part of my time here is the Mexican food, because Mexican food is similar to Pakistani food.”

Tatyana Zhukova, ’20, thinks that Redwood and America are great places, but she is having some trouble adjusting to the new environment

Each student has to had to undergo a major change to come to a new country with different people. Foreign exchange students are a new addition to Redwood that brings a brand new culture into our school.
