Here’s the Five For Friday, bringing you five songs you should add to your playlist. This week’s songs are for your workout playlist brought to you by the Sports section.
Ryan Harris ‘25 is on the wrestling team and has been participating in Brazilian jiu jitsu. When Harris trains he says that “Tunnel Vision” by Kodak Black is one of his favorite songs to come on.
“I like the mellow and I didn’t like the lyrics, I just like how it gets me going.”

Lucas Delima ‘25 was on the basketball JV team this year and is currently on the tennis JV team. One of his favorite songs to listen to while working out is “Face Of My City” by Jack Harlow featuring Lil Baby.
“It’s like 2 minutes long but it packs a punch so I like to listen to it. It gives me a burst of energy when I need it most and helps me out in my workout.”

Mariah Gomez ‘24 did cheerleading and she goes to the gym regularly. Gomez likes to listen to “Under Ground Kings” by Drake when she’s at the gym.
“It’s like a pump up song and like the things he says in it is like really good motivation. That’s why I like it.”

Cody Abney ‘25 is in the track team and says that “Power” by Kanye West is one of his go tos while practicing for a track meet.
“It helps me to get motivated for a meet, it’s just a motivational song. It helps me get hyped.”

Erik Rico ‘25 plays baseball and football, as well as regularly workout. He says one of his must plays is “It Was A Good Day” by Ice Cube.
“I like the beat, the beat really gets me going. Not really more of the words but just how the beat makes me feel.”
