Many people who have a sweet tooth look for new desserts during Summer to fix their craving for sugar. Listed below are some treats that are full of both, Summer and sweetness!
Lemon Bars:
The website, “Sally’s Baking Addiction” says, “You only need 7 ingredients to make these lemon bars. The lemon curd filling is extra thick and creamy and sits on an irresistible butter shortbread crust. Always bake lemon bars at a lower temperature to avoid over-baking. They’re simply the best lemon bars and are perfect for picnics, bake sales, spring brunches, baby showers, and bridal showers.”
Watermelon Popsicle:
The website, “NY Times” says, “You don’t need an expert to tell you that watermelon is just about the most refreshing thing you could possibly eat in the middle of summer. Luckily, there are many worthy and refreshing things to do with watermelon that are somewhere between simple slicing and full-blown cooking.”
Fruit Pizza Cookies:
The website, “Butter with a side of Bread” says, “One of my favorite things about summertime is all of the fresh fruit that is available. The only thing better than eating fresh fruit is turning it into some kind of treat! Am I right?! I’ve collected some of our favorite fruity desserts/treats to make it easier for you to find something delicious to whip up this summer!”
Pineapple Sunshine Cake:
The website, “Belle of the Kitchen” says, “A light and fluffy pineapple-infused cake, topped with a sweet and creamy whipped cream frosting. This cake is always a crowd pleaser! Kansas girls… now they know how to make some good food!”
Chocolate Sundae:
The website, “Keep Calm and eat Ice Cream” says, “Top with more chocolate fudge sauce. Squirt cream on top and sprinkle with chopped nuts. Finally add a couple of chocolate wafers. Serve immediately and enjoy!”
All of these treats were made for the Summer heat, which can be enjoyed at the most sunny time of the year!
