Rangers talk about their favorite love songs that puts them in their feels for the month of love.

Nearing the end of February we remember the reasons why people love February so much. The music, vibe, and love in the air that keeps everyone going as the school year comes to a close. Rangers say their favorite love songs that keep them in a good mood all month long.
Manson Perez ’27 says “Lovefool” by The Cardigans is one of his favorite love songs to listen to during February and all throughout the year. “It makes me feel happy and whenever I listen to it I feel in the moment.”
Mr. Sandoval says “Dear Mama” by 2Pac is his favorite love song. “It is a song that has a lot of meaning to me and reminds me of the relationship I have with my mother. In my first few years, it was just me and her, we lived in Mexico since my father was here in the States. Because of this, I have a very close bond with her. She taught me how to respect women and the love I have for my wife”. Sandoval says the song makes him reminisce about when he was younger and lived in Mexico, it helps me think of the past and appreciate the future.”
Giuliana Lorenzo ’27 says “From the Start” by Laufey is her favorite love song. “It’s a peaceful song that is soothing to listen to. It makes me feel calm.”
Mrs. Spalding says “Meet Me in The Middle” by Diamond Rio is her favorite love song. “It reminds me of my husband and I’s relationship and how we met. When we got married it was under an oak tree and the song has nostalgic lyrics that relate to that. The song talks about meeting in the middle and that reminded me of how a relationship can’t be one-sided.”
Lily Iverson ’27 says “Speechless” by Dan and Shay is her favorite love song when she is feeling happy. “It’s my favorite because I like the lyrics and the story it tells. It makes me feel happy.”
Love songs have a magical way of capturing the spirit of love and creating unforgettable moments. People often use music to express their deepest emotions, all these songs ranging from country to sad love convey how people view music and what it means to them. No matter what type of love songs you enjoy, music is a way to express ourselves during this special month.
These songs are a universal language that connects people and brings them together creating a deeper connection between lovers or even friends. It allows an understanding of each other and creates a sense of unity. Love songs have the ability to break barriers and communicate emotions to other people that words cannot express. They provide us with an emotional connection to each other and have the ability to transport us back into a moment with another person. The smell of chocolate candy and heartfelt notes fills the room that reminds us of the love given during the month of February.
