The 19th annual Redwood Dance Show was held in the LJ Williams Theatre this last Friday at 7pm and Saturday at 1pm and 5pm.
The show’s theme this year was “Battle of the Bands” where they had an array of genres between all the classes. Even a mariachi band was featured in the show for the senior dance!
The four year dance force members, Ashly Wisehart ‘19, Nicole Brown ‘19, and Amanda Martinez ‘19 all were featured in the show having solos.
The show included Introduction, Intermediate, Advanced, International, Hip-Hop, and Dance Force. Each class and dance had their own style of costumes to go with the song they were dancing to.
Izabelah Jauregui ,’19, said “I enjoyed the show, but the dances I enjoyed the most throughout the show were Hip Hop and International. The show’s theme also fit some of the songs but not all the songs, but overall they all flowed well with each other.”
The dance show duration was about 2 hours and 30 mins. The show was once again an amazing show that the school and community look forward to coming and watching. Other schools around the area even come to watch the show and support!
If you want to join a dance class ask your counselor how you can join for the next year! We’re excited to see what the 20th annual dance show next year is and what’s the classes have to offer!
