The annual door decorating contest winners were announced at the Cowhide Victory Rally. Eastman won Best Overall, Vieira won Most Spirited, Howell won Most Unique, and Rodriguez won Most Creative.

On Monday, October 31, 2022, the Cowhide door decorating contest winners were announced at the Cowhide victory rally.

The judge panel included Mrs. Barba-Tepper, Mrs. Buchanan, and Mr. Garcia.

The winners included:

Alexa Barba-Tepper, the Assistant Principal of Student Services, says, “It was very hard, almost every door had a reason to nominate as a winner.”

Barba-Tepper says, “We felt Eastman’s as the overall because it was so modern… and I just thought it was a really cute concept with the cow peeking out on the other side.”

“Every year [the door contest] gets harder” and Barba-Tepper “has never seen 3D doors, until this year,” which is why “The Kool-Aid Cow was [Most Unique].”

“I want to give a special shout-out to Mr. Adam’s door. It was very unique… it had 5 barbies that were the jury and each barbie doll was a dress-up day,” says Barba-Tepper.

Aubrey Buchanan, Redwood Counselor for last names A-C, says, “I think we gravitated towards doors that were unique to us, things that we haven’t seen before.”

“All the doors made us smile and definitely made kids smile. Everyone did a great job decorating… There is no better place to be than Redwood,” says Buchanan.
