Chamber Orchestra students are excited to be back in the music room, the class is looking forward to what this school year will bring.
Chamber Orchestra, as well as all other music classes, are still adjusting to the new mandates such as wearing masks, and following the rules about wearing them while practicing music.
The students from Chamber Orchestra are grateful for the school year, while everyone is back and able to see each other again. The students haven’t participated in any concerts yet, but are preparing. They are looking forward to playing in concerts this year for Redwood.
Sydney Brammer, ’22 Chamber Orchestra violinist, shares her thoughts about last year’s struggles, “every person last year was playing over a computer, and it wasn’t easy.” She has a memory about being in school better than practicing at home.
Redwood Orchestra conductor, Mr. Yokota says, “this is either my 8th or 9th year [teaching at Redwood], this is my 16th year teaching in the school district.” He’s been teaching at Redwood for years before he started to be the Chamber conductor.
Chamber Orchestra cellist, Madison Saucedo, ’22 likes to play different instruments, “every single time- I believe in 5th grade, I played the violin and I switched over to the cello in 7th grade because I really loved it.” She is looking forward to the upcoming year.
Mr. Yokota likes to teach all of the students from Redwood’s Chamber Orchestra. He says, “I love teaching orchestra, and it’s a lot of fun.”
