In January 2022, Marvel released one of its most ambitious films to date. Morbius is the living vampire from the 2022 Marvel movie Morbius starring Jared Leto.
Many people say that Morbius is a good character in the movie and he’s also the type of character that had a backstory of what his childhood was like and the life he has as a vampire.
Hunter Buckles, class of ’24, said “I think it’s a pretty good movie, liked it a lot and my family also liked it.”
Hunter liked the movie and he liked the character Morbius.
People also say that the Marvel characters Morbius and Venom are different, but have similarities as they are from the same universe in Marvel.
Faith Pacillas, class of ’23, said “Yeah I would say that like they are different, I feel like I like Venom better because I like Spider-Man a lot.”
Everyone has seen the cutscene from Morbius and the character that appeared at the end of the movie was the Vulture (a.k.a. Adrian Toomes) from Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Jacob Perch, class of ’23, said “I notice that Vulture guy, oh no yeah in the cutscene he was in there at the end.”
A lot of people like Venom better than Morbius because everyone knows who Venom is and some people don’t know who Morbius is.
Ezra Renzi, class of ’24, said “I like Venom better because he’s cooler, bigger, and he has a better power.”
Christian Vargas, class of ’22, said “What I think of the movie is that he goes through many years and trying to figure out to find the cure for him and his friend whether or when they were young and he’s done a lot of good things for others since he was young and that the movie was really good in my opinion because he tried a lot of things and then he found a way what made him into a vampire.”

Ezra Renzi and Faith Pacillas are wrong for this one! Morbius is way cooler than Venom! The journey of Dr. Michael Morbius is a story of pain, loss, betrayal, and ultimate triumph. This may be the best movie that has ever been made. Morbius saved my life.
The title is misleading as Morbius is not a part of the main universe in the MCU, however, that doesn’t stop it from being better than all of the MCU movies. Morbius transcends the comic book genre and is a shining example of what all films should be.
