We asked if some students can go a week without complaining, and this is what they said.

We asked Redwood students if they could last a week without complaining at school. The majority of these students said that they couldn’t last a week without complaining, the main reasons being: the bridge, teachers, and other students.

Sheena Herbert, ’28, was asked this tough question. She said, “No, because it’s too hot.”
Brianna Lino, ’28, said, “I can’t last a week because I complain about everything.”
Then Adela Perez, ’28, argued and said, “Yes, I can last a week without complaining because I like school.”

Herbert said “The bridge, there’s too many people on the bridge, and they walk slow.”
Cameron Browning, ’25, said, “No, I complain every day. Some of the teachers aren’t nice and there’s always something going wrong at school.”
Complaining for teenagers is almost a natural thing. We complain about ourselves, about classes, about others, and if something doesn’t go our way.

Ryn Morton, ’28, said, “No. I cannot last a week without complaining at school because, listen, I love people, but I do not at the same time.”
Morton said, “A little PSA for all of my little freshman friends, put on some deodorant.”
Leelas Alkudsi, ’28, said, “I can’t last a week because I complain every period of every day, especially in P.E.”

Morton adds on and said, “Pull up your pants for the love of God. No one asked to see your SpongeBob Underwear.”
Some students in high school like to play around with their friends, either if they mean it to be mean or not. But with someone who doesn’t know what’s happening, it could look like something bad.
Alkudsi said, “Some people just harass others, so I have to complain, you know?”

Browning said, “specifically at school, I have to complain.”
Perez argues and said, “I don’t think I could ever complain about school.”
“And tell me why we get called slurs?” Alkudsi said.
“Yeah, you’re not cute, you don’t look hot,” Morton said.
Morton adds, “And don’t be a jerk, please.”
