After a break of nearly two years, Cage the Elephant announced a new release coming soon.

To all fans, new and old, this is fantastic news.

Cage the Elephant has released the hit songs: “Cigarette Daydreams,” “Trouble,” “Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked,” and more, with a whopping 13,385,265 monthly listeners on Spotify. Cage has seven members, Matt Shultz, Brad Shultz, Daniel Tichenor, Jared Champion, Nick Bockrath, Matthan Minster, and Lincoln Parish.

Cage the Elephant releases songs in the alternative/indie rock genre, with their music consisting of powerful melodies and meaningful lyrics. Their most famous song, “Cigarette Daydreams,” was released in 2013 in the album titled “Melophobia.” This song quickly became popular and was nominated for the iHeartRadio Music Award for Alternative Rock Song of the Year in 2016.

This song is popular due to the emotional connection listeners create. The chorus sings, “You can drive all night, looking for the answers in the pouring rain. You wanna find peace of mind, looking for the answer.” The connection of feeling terrible being compared to the weather, dreary and unfortunate, portrays how emotions impact life. This song has a relatable feeling to listeners, beautifully pairing with the music to make art to be enjoyed by many.

With the rumors of new music going around, fans can’t help but get excited for the band’s reawakening. Since their first album release in 2009, titled “Back Against The Wall,” Cage the Elephant has accomplished great things, and everyone is so excited to see what they create next.
