After a night of competition boys wrestling came out on top. The team was grateful for the win and look forward to a few post-season matches.
Gavin Gregg, ’21 thought that, “the match went pretty good, we had a strong team match. Everybody did their part, we had a couple ups and downs, but in all we came out winning and that’s what we wanted to do.”
During the match, Gregg’s opponent was hungry for a win and decided to take a bite out of him. After that stunt he got himself disqualified. Gregg had expected a lot out of Whitney because they have beat teams that were a good match for us but overall we came out with that win.
Before the match Anthony Guitron, ’22 thought the match would go well because of how strong the team has gotten since the beginning of the year. This match was one the boys wanted to win especially because Whitney is a rival.
This was the last match for the JV athletes but Varsity is able to be in the championships so continue supporting boys wrestling!
