Boys wrestling has begun their season and Coach Watts stated that “it is a rebuilding year for us for sure.”

One wrestler, Alex Rodriguez ‘20, attends the everyday practices along with the rest of the team and said that “normally with wrestling, it is a matter of who can last longer so if you are more conditioned then you have a stronger chance of winning more often.” In addition to the training Rodriguez also runs regularly.

The team is very young this year. The wrestling team graduated about fifteen seniors last year so the team is young and is rebuilding and training hard to do their best in upcoming matches.

Jarron Sullivan, ‘19 feels that his biggest strength is probably having heart in the sport, and not giving up and just not quitting. He has played all four years of his high school career and says that “wrestling takes a certain person to do it and stick with it because it is a hard sport.”

The boys wrestling team is still early in the season and is excited for what is to come. The year of 2018-2019 will be used as a rebuilding year because of all the new players that came in. The boys they are going to continue doing their best in every match to come.
