This competition is a showcase of Redwood’s wonderful artists and poets creations. The competition results will be announced in early April.
Redwood’s first competitor is Maxine Smith ’25. Smith said “I’m going to be submitting two submissions which are a drawing and a poem for the competition.”
With this Smith said, “I entered the competition because I really like art and creative writing and I am really into that kind of work. I also think it would be fun.”
Ms. Link, creative writing teacher and Red Ink club Advisor is the person who started this contest. Link says, “ I am very excited that we get to run the contest again.”
When reflecting on previous years as a result of the Corona virus, Link says, “We were unable to do it last year, as we are learning; it feels like a return to normal.”
Link explained that this contest in it’s entirety has entries that are, “Just anything original. One of the beautiful things about this contest is the variety of stuff we get.”
Link Adds, “Redwood students are so talented, I’m always amazed.”
