The Redwood Gigantea has a long standing history of publishing Senior Wills. It gives students a chance to reflect on their time here at Redwood and recognize the people who have impacted them along the way. Senior Wills often showcase each student’s personality and give insight into what they felt was important during their high school journey.
Julia Learned
Post high school plans: “I’m studying music at COS, but who knows what else I’ll do!“
Favorite RHS memory: “I’ll always remember choir trips! The bus rides were always crazy, the laughs were unbeatable, and sharing our music was so fun!“

Katelynn Alvarez
Post high school plans: “I will be attending UC Berkeley in the Fall!“
Favorite RHS memory: “My favorite Redwood memory would be leading chants and screaming at the top of my lungs at football games. I loved watching everyone dance to Tongue Tied and shout Party in the USA lyrics from the track!“

Post high school plans: “Majoring in Biology at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland!”
Favorite RHS memory: “SO MANY! But my favorites include falling into the RHS pool completely clothed (and in my parka) while my swim coach Sienna laughed, going on nature walks with my AP Environmental Science class my sophomore year, attending CSF community service events, pulling all-nighters with the Science Olympiad team, and leaving a mess of glitter from all my assignments in Mr. McNitt’s classroom.”

Favorite RHS memory: “The entire Day of Cowhide my Junior Season. Being apart of such a long and historic tradition is something I will never forget.”

Post high school plans: “I will be attending Stanford University in the Fall to major in Science, Technology, and Society (B.S.).”
Favorite RHS memory: “One of my favorite Redwood memories is the Homecoming Queen Luncheon! It was one of our first “normal” school spirit events going back to school after COVID and it felt like a fun Bachelorette Party with the prettiest, funnest, smartest girls Redwood has ever had! I’m so thankful to ASB for hosting it!”
- I, Aya Aziz, will my somewhat overly-cautious driving skills to my sister Leena Aziz for when she starts driving herself and my little brother to school after I’ve started college. I hope she always finds a shady spot to park in Narnia!
- I, Aya Aziz, will my ability to practice violin at midnight to Adriana La. She is a fantastic violinist and one of my favorite Freshmen! I know Chamber Orchestra will be in good hands with her hard work and talent!

Favorite RHS memory: “My favorite Redwood memory was portraying Winnifred in Once Upon a Mattress my sophomore year. The whole process taught me a lot about myself and all of my best friends were with me to provide lots of laughs.”
- I, Jersey Hays, will to Tessa Hemphill and Allison Hart the blasting of music every Monday morning coffee run. It’s one of the only things that kept me sane these past 4 years.

Post high school plans: ” I will be attending The University of Arkansas for four years where I will be majoring in psychology.”
Favorite RHS memory: “My favorite Redwood Memory is last year where we held the ESPN themed basketball game and had a halftime show/game as if we were at a professional game. Everyone came out and cheered on our boys and overall had a great night!”

Krissy ('21) is a senior and this is her third year as Editor in Chief. She has been in Journalism since beginning of freshman year and has a strong passion for sports journalism. Outside of the Gigantea, Krissy is a part of the Cross Country, Basketball and Track teams. She is also in her third year as an intern writer for the Sun-Gazette.
