Trust Fall

Trust Fall by Lynn Painter is a YA Romance book that was published on September 29th, 2026. Lynn Painter is known for her YA Romances and is enjoyed by many people in the book community.

Trust Fall is about a girl named Julia who inherits a fortune and moves to New York City after being from a small town. While living in New York City, she meets a boy who happens to be her neighbor, and he happens to be hiding a secret.

This book is the perfect book for the fall because of the vibes and the weather that takes place, and just purely based on the book name, it was made for the fall era.

Falling Like Leaves

Falling Like Leaves by Misty Wilson is also a YA Romance book published on September 2, 2026. There is also a sequel to the book called Falling Like Snow, which is another good recommendation for the winter season.

Falling Like Leaves follows a city girl who wants nothing more than to be like her dad and follow through with Journalism and then take over his company.

She ends up having to move from New York, with all the opportunities in the world, to a small town called Bramble Falls with almost no opportunities.

While in Bramble Falls, she reunites with an old friend, and their story begins to unravel as they slowly start to get closer and fill in those missing years.

Hence the title, Falling Like Leaves is the perfect way to get into the fall season, especially for those who love a good cheesy romance.

The Silent Patient

The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides is a psychological thriller that was published on February 5, 2019.

The Silent Patient follows Alicia Berenson, a famous painter, who murders her husband.

After committing the crime, Alicia went mute and hasn’t spoken a word since that same day.

Theo Faber, another character who is introduced as a psychotherapist, has an obsession with Alicia, and all he wants is to get her to speak.

Throughout the book, the story alternates between the two POVs, giving the side of both stories.

The Silent Patient is the perfect book for those who like to read a book where the suspense slowly builds up to the climax of the story.

The Bell Jar

The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath is a semi-autobiographical novel that was published on January 14, 1963.

The Bell Jar follows Esther Greenwood, who is a very intelligent girl, who starts the story out at an internship in New York during the summer of 1953.

Sylvia Plath writes about the societal pressures and mental health issues that Esther Greenwood deals with.

The story also shows her recovery after dealing with a mental breakdown, while at the same time showing the expectations that were held for women in the 1950s.

The Bell Jar is a good book to read for the fall because of the moody atmosphere that matches the novel’s themes of emotional transition, isolation, and quiet personal reckoning.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone by J.K. Rowling is a Fantasy novel that was published on June 26, 1997.

The whole Harry Potter series is a classic series that almost everyone knows about, and is a re-read for multiple people each fall.

In The Philosopher’s Stone, it follows Harry Potter, who is the main character throughout all of the novels. Potter is an orphaned boy who discovers when he is eleven that he is a wizard.

On his eleventh birthday, he begins to get letters about attending a wizarding school, and throughout the book, you go through the adventures he has at the school.

This series is perfect for fall, because in the world, the wizarding school starts September 1st, and takes place throughout the fall and winter seasons.
