I'm Jaden Zavala class of 2026 and I write about sports. I write postgame stories. I learned from being a journalist that communication is key and how important it is to have a proper conversation. My stories are important because it informs the audience what happens postgame. I am proud of sticking to a story once I get assigned to it, I am also proud of stepping out of my comfort zone by talking and meeting new people during my first year here.
Jaden Zavala - Sports Writer
I am a sports writer for the Gigantea and I have been helping the Gigantea by completing my assigned stories. I primarily work with my friend Savannah and we write postgame stories for sports. I have learned that Rangers love sports and want to know what happens with the players and the games. I am proud of my work I like writing stories and I like being a part of the Gigantea. My work helps give athletes an opportunity to say what's on their minds about their sport and what's going on and let the whole school listen.

Photogallery: Men’s Varsity Soccer 11.18.2022
This is a photogallery I created for this year's first men's home soccer game. It was against Lindsay and it was a really intense game. The Lindsay team was really strong and aggressive. The final score was 3-1 and Redwood won. This show my strong sports photographer skills. I am pretty good at shooting a game and building a gallery to share.
This story matters because soccer doesn't draw the same kinds of crowds that other sports get. By highlighting the soccer teams with my camera, I am connecting our readers to our diverse, talented athletes and showing a part of RHS athletic life that not many people see.
