In school, we have been having a lot of 3 day weekends recently. Many people really just stay at home for the most part with nothing to do, but instead you can take a short weekend getaway with your friends or with your family. Here are some places around California that you can visit during a 3-day weekend.

Dana Point

Dana Point, California

If your into beaches and really need a relaxing vacation, then you should really check out Dana Point located between San Diego and Los Angeles. It is a perfect place for kayak or paddle boarding if you are into that. Right net to it, there is Pine Park which has structures to climb to enjoy the amazing view. If you are into whales and dolphins, you can book a really fun family or private whale and dolphin watching group. There are many other activities that you can enjoy at Dana Point like going to trails, booking a cruise, or even taking a connecting cruise to Catalina Island as well. Dana Point has so much to offer to enjoy an amazing 3-day weekend.

Carlsbad

Carlsbad, California

If you are looking forward to going to San Diego, you should really consider looking into Carlsbad, California. It’s just 30 minutes away from San Diego and is the home of LEGOLAND California. LEGOLAND is an amusement park in Carlsbad with all things LEGO related if you enjoy Legos. It also has an easy access beach and includes amazing features including a Flower Fields but it is usually open during the spring time so if you are going to Carlsbad during the spring time, I suggest you go there because it is really beautiful. Carlsbad also includes a Leo Carrillo Ranch Historic Park which has free-roaming peacocks around. The best time I would suggest going to Carlsbad is actually during the spring time because it has more to offer. If you are looking for a really relaxing vacation to de-stress about whatever you are dealing with, Carlsbad, California has got your back.

Big Sur

Big Sur, California

If you enjoy really majestic views and enjoy being outside, then Big Sur is for you. Big Sur is really a must see area if you live in California. Around Big Sur is The Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park. Through the park, it leads to MsWay Falls which is an amazing waterfall to watch in person. The Bixby Bridge is world famous located on the coast of Big Sur. It is really a photographic bridge located in California. You could also go and see Point Sur Lighthouse which is a guided tour which takes you inside the Lighthouse and explains it’s history. Big Sur really is an outdoor place and has different coastal views that are really beautiful.

With all these different coastal areas around California, you can enjoy you 3-day weekend and also really calm down and de-stress from school or just any situation you are going through.
