On Tuesday, November 8, 2022, Walta Gamoian was re-elected to her seat on the Visalia Unified School District [VUSD] Board of Education, representing Trustee Area 1.
VISALIA, CA – Walta Gamoian was recently re-elected to her second term on the VUSD Board of Education. She currently serves as the Board Clerk. Gamoian was initially elected in 2018.
She says, “I feel really good about [being re-elected]. I feel happy, and I feel honored to be able to serve the children of Visalia for another four years.”
Gamoian looks forward to working with Superintendent Kirk Shrum and “really moving [VUSD] forward.”
She wants Area 1 residents to know that she plans on holding quarterly meetings to talk to them about what the Board has done, what it means, and how it will benefit students. “I also [want to] hear about their questions and concerns,” she says.
Gamoian thanks voters for their support. “As I was walking around talking to people when I was campaigning and canvassing my area, I heard what they said, and I appreciate [it],” she says.
