Stay informed about the new academic year with important dates, updated schedules, and essential forms.

Visalia, CA – With summer winding down, Redwood High School is gearing up for the new school year, and there are some essential things students and parents should keep in mind.

The annual Round-Up for 10th, 11th, and 12th graders is scheduled for Thursday, August 3rd. Freshmen will receive information about their own orientation separately. A significant update to note is the new bell schedule: Period 1 will now start at 8:30am, and Period 6 will conclude at 3:40pm. This change was implemented to comply with SB-328.

Students will receive the Summer Mailer packet, which includes a number of vital documents such as the RHS Round-Up Flyer 2023, RHS Info Flyer, and the Voluntary Student Accident Insurance Information. Also enclosed is the VUSD Student Residence Questionnaire, which must be returned either at the Round-Up or Freshman Orientation.

While the Emergency Card is usually a part of the Summer Mailer, it’s now moved online. This form needs to be completed at PowerSchool, using a unique student SnapCode. Parents will receive the SnapCode by mail.

For any questions or concerns about the Emergency Card, students and parents can reach out to the school administration either by calling 559-730-7631, Monday – Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., or by emailing ereg-support@vusd.us.

Should any technical issues arise while filling out the Emergency Card, technical support is available via the PowerSchool Registration support line at 866-752-6850, select option 1.

If students or parents are unable to attend the Round-Up or Freshman Orientation, the necessary items can be picked up at the Redwood Library during the week of August 7th. The library will be open from 8am to 3:30pm.
