Thanksgiving Day is about expressing gratitude to loved ones, families, and friends. It was originated as a harvest festival and it has been celebrated nationally on and off since 1789, with a proclamation by George Washington after a request by Congress.
Thanksgiving Day is where people gather around the dinner table and give thanks, prayer, feast, and watch football games and parades.
