After an unusual high school experience due to COVID-19, the class of 2023 is concluding their K-12 education.

On Wednesday, May 31, 2023, the class of 2023 will graduate from Redwood High School.

The ceremony will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the Mineral King Bowl. Guests will enter through the gates on Giddings Street.

The gates will open at 6 p.m. There is no entrance fee to attend the ceremony.

All guests are welcome, as there are no restrictions this year on the number of people who can attend.

Seats cannot be reserved ahead of time. Handicap seating will be on the track level on the northeast side of the stadium.

Information for Graduates

Students must be in the gymnasium at 6 p.m. dressed in caps and gowns. Parents are not permitted in the gymnasium.

Graduates must adhere to the following dress code. Staff will check for appropriate attire.

Yes- Collared shirts, dress slacks, dress, romper, pantsuit, black jeans

No- Flip Flops, Birkenstocks, shorts, sunglasses, or other distracting accessories.

Military and cultural sashes approved by Mrs. Barba-Tepper before May 17 are permitted.

Graduates cannot have cell phones, purses, balloons, noise makers, sunglasses, flowers, flower necklaces, dollar necklaces, or similar items in the gymnasium.

If a student is found to possess such items, they are subject to being removed from the ceremony.

Graduates can retrieve their diplomas at the west end of the Mineral King Bowl once the ceremony ends.

Students are expected to follow school guidelines and district conduct codes. Diplomas can be pulled if students are in violation of the Visalia Unified School District [VUSD] conduct code during the ceremony.
