Dance classes have recently been moved from practicing in the Rotary Theater on the Vista Campus to the Main Campus in the L.J. Williams Theater.

This is a change that leaves dance students with a different navigation, depending on their next class.

Natalie Bovetti ‘23, who is in the hip-hop dance class says, “It’s really nice having it on Main. It’s good because it’s not a far walk to go to Vista.”

Sophia Contreras ‘26 says, “I like that the class moved on Main because I have my second class on Main anyways, so it saves me time.”

Dance can be a tiring sport, so it’s nice that the theater has strong air conditioning, considering the recent high weather conditions. Bovetti says, “it’s very cool in the theater so it’s been nice.”

There may be more traffic for first-period dance classes because more students would be getting dropped off on Main, rather than on Vista.

Bovetti says, “I feel like there’s just traffic everywhere. It’s bound to happen and there has been more traffic, but it’s okay.”

Abril Gutierrez ‘23 says, “I think it’s a lot better for me because I only have my first period on Vista then the rest on Main.”

Bovetti, has a different view on the change, she says, “I feel like it’s been better for right now but I definitely want us to be back in the dance room eventually.”
